Sermons on Mark
The Word Becomes Flesh
When we truly believe the Word and do what Jesus teaches, we become a witness for Him. The Word becomes flesh in us and we can move in the authority He moved in. We have this truth in an earthen vessel that needs to be broken so the glory can shine through. Scripture: 1 John 2:15-16, Mark 6:14-26
Conformed or Transformed?
The church is running out of power because it’s left the Upper Room. The hour we’re in is similar to the hour Jesus walked the earth in. We have to choose if we’re going to go with the crowd or be transformed by the power of Christ.Scripture: Luke 3:1-3, Mark 8:34-36, Romans 12:1, 2 Cor 3:12-18
Certainty
The Bible starts with the voice of God and ends with the voice of God. It’s that voice and the written Word that gives us absolute certainty in the message of a never-failing God. Scripture: John 1:1-14, Rev 10:7, Rev 19:12-13, Matt 1:17, Num 33:1-2, Mark 1:1-3, Luke 1:1-4
Opposition
Principalities and powers are real. Just as Jesus opposed Satan, we’re to oppose him. This is not a time for the church to hide – but a time to stand. It seems as though immorality is the only choice today. It’s the mandate of the church to give the world another choice and to stand as defenders of morality.Scripture: Mark 6:24-33, John 9:11-23
No Throne, Just Sight
Chapters 10-12 of the Gospel of Mark reveal to us how the church should operate with our eyes on spiritual things, serving in humility rather than ruling over people. We’re to be an empty vessel, ready for God to fill and use in any way He desires. Our walk is not about gaining a throne – it’s about doing whatever God wants, where He wants it and in…
City Without Walls (Zech Part 2)
Because Jesus dwells in us, and because His true church is New Jerusalem, we are a city without walls. The church is all over the world, He is all over the world in His people who bring absolute truth and government into their circles of influence.
Blind Bartimaeus Could See
Bartimaeus may have been blind, but he could see what the religious leaders refused to see. He knew that Jesus was his Messiah and he knew how much he needed Him. Religion blinds us to truth. We need to drop our filthy rags of self-righteousness and cry out, “Have mercy on me, O Thou Son of David”.
Battles Require Mind of God
Jesus was in a continual battle with the priesthood because they wanted to catch Him with His words to find a way to imprison or kill Him. We’re in the same battles today as more people want to fight against what’s true and right. We need the mind of God, the Word of God, the Spirit and Presence of God to answer the questions people have in this hour.
Angels Ascending and Descending
Jacob’s ladder was a picture of God’s messengers in communication with Him. If we’re to have truth, we must be in a place where the angels are ascending and descending teaching us about the power and sufficiency of Christ that the world may see Him in us.
Believing
We need to come to the place where we believe, truly believe, the things that God is saying. When we come to that place, God can use us to speak to those around us what He would say to them were He standing there when they need Him. A need specific word straight from Him through the mouth that He has given us. Time with God strips us of the hardness and unbelief that…
