Living Righteousness

Spreading the Gospel isn’t about us telling people.  It’s about living a life of peace and righteousness in front of others so they seek what we have.  In order to do that, we have to get our appetites under God’s dominion and learn to say “no”.  We can’t do that in our own will, but through His Spirit living in us.   Scripture:  Isa 42:1-9, John 1:10-13

Born of God

We are the offspring of God, why do we live at a level lower than that?  We’re born of God but the church has a dysfunctional attitude about the flesh coming into righteousness.  Christ is meant to be manifested through us in authority and power but we have to let out lives be altered by God.  Acts 9:1-12, John 1:8-13, 1 John 3:2-16

Wear Your Uniform

The things we say, think and do are directly related to how we see ourselves, who we identify with.  Identifying with righteousness has a cost.  The church is blending, not standing apart from the world as it becomes more difficult to stand for truth and what’s right.  Our Christian “uniform” sets us apart and shows the world there are other choices.  We must identify our…

Righteousness & Love (1 John)

The Bible tells us that we have righteousness by faith – but we are also compelled by Jesus’ life and example to do righteousness – and that certainly includes loving one another. God has a plan for His church and that plan has a deadline. We must move in concert with one another or, because we’re one body, we slow the progress of His church.
