Sermons on Hearing the Word (Page 2)
Lying Thoughts
The devil will use little thoughts over time to separate us from God & His people. We need to ask forgiveness for believing lies. Scripture: 1 Chron 29:1, 1 Chron 29:26-27
Kingdom Connection
Not everything that calls itself Christian is. With a Kingdom Connection, there is no power to heal, no power to deliver, no power for change. Scripture: Matt 8:5-13, 1 Kings 19:10-18
Knowledge of Wisdom
The Word of God is sweet as honey in our mouths but bitter in our bellies when others stand against truth. Every human is a kingdom with throne in our soul. We choose who sits on throne. Sometimes that decision requires parental intervention. Scripture: 2 Tim 3:16, Rev 10:1-11, Prov 24:13-14, Judges 14:3-9
His Offspring
Caiphas spoke the words God gave him, not the words of arrogance & pride of the Jews. He will die on the cross & give everyone a pass. All will be His offspring. It is our Divine appointment to inherit the Kingdom. Doctrines of religion create a fantasy about who God is and His plan for His people. The Bible is the voice of God. Ask Him and He’ll give…
Scandalized
Not one of us is immune from the voice of doubt. We must be ever vigilant over our thoughts & stay rooted in the truth of the Word rather than what it “feels” like.Scripture: Luke 7:11-24
A Time of Preparation
God is doing things in our lives that are preparatory to motion. Our busyness & ordinary days take our thought process and we’re letting the things of God pass us by. Scripture: Matt 4:12-17, Exod 19:1-6, Matt 11:21-24
Certainty
The Bible starts with the voice of God and ends with the voice of God. It’s that voice and the written Word that gives us absolute certainty in the message of a never-failing God. Scripture: John 1:1-14, Rev 10:7, Rev 19:12-13, Matt 1:17, Num 33:1-2, Mark 1:1-3, Luke 1:1-4
What’s Your Reference Point?
How do we know we’re hearing the right thing from the Word of God? It depends on our reference point. Our reference point must be the truth. It must start and end with God. God’s voice, not our emotions; God’s will, not ours. Scripture: Luke 8:40-48, 2 Peter 2:4-9, 2 Kings 2:1-12, John 8:12-13, John 6:25-32
Thought Process (Malachi 3 & 4)
God sent a verbal confrontation to the Israelites through a verbal prophet addressing 7 ways they had lost touch with God. They had wandered so far from Him they forgot His blessings and favor toward them, they no longer felt His love for them and they no longer feared Him or felt His Spirit and Presence. Church today is not hearing God, not fearing God and lacks His…
Benjamin’s Sack
Pastor Ricley answers questions about the gift of tongues, finding God’s voice in the Bible and whether Joseph put the cup in Benjamin’s sack out of anger or mercy.
