Sermons on Transformation
Spiritual Warfare
Just like Elijah/Elisha, the Holy Spirit will take us through Gilgal, Bethel, Jericho and the Jordan as we grow in our walk with the Lord. Every step is necessary to make us into soldiers in God’s army! Scripture: Romans 6:11-18, Eph 6:1-18
The Simplicity of Daniel 9
Pastor Ron was asked to explain the 70 weeks in Daniel, so he went through Daniel 9 in detail to show how it reveals Christ and The Word becoming flesh in us for the world to see. Scripture: Daniel 9
The Transformed Mind
We want the territory we are to be the safest place for God to inhabit so we can take Him behind enemy lines and we’ll be part of a defense that won’t back up. The only obstacle we have to being those kinds of soldiers is our minds. God starts with the premise, ‘Lay down your will”, “present yourself as a living sacrifice” and He will…
Put On The New Man
Pastor Ricley goes through the Book of Ephesians explaining what it is to be a prisoner of Christ as Paul was and what a Christian looks like when they “put on the new man”. Scripture: Eph 1:3-12, Eph 2:1-20, Gen 2:3, Gen 9:5-6, Eph 3:16-21, Eph 4, Eph 5, Eph 6
Follow, Come, Abide
Our relationship with Jesus begins when we hear Him say, “Follow Me” as He did to His disciples. He then draws us deeper into relationship as He implores us to “Come unto Me” and “Abide with Me”. Scripture: Matt 4:18-22, Matt 19-16-21, Luke 9:57-59, John 4:5-23, John 12:25-28, John 13:36, John 15:1-10
That Moment
Paul believed he was doing well until the Road to Damascus. He had knowledge, but was missing the Spirit of God, the voice of God. Nicodemus knew Scriptures, but did not know God. If you’re not born again, you can’t see the Kingdom of God. Scripture: Deut 29:29, John 3:1-16
Prisoner
When we give our life to Christ, we become His prisoner, allowing Him to do what He wants in us so we invest the talents He gives us in the right places at the right times. Scripture: Eph 4:1-8, 1 Tim 1:3-5, 1 Tim 1:12-20, Eph 2:11-15
Born in Flesh vs Spirit
There is a difference between voices who claim to be Christian. There is a difference between being born of the flesh & born of the Spirit. The Spiritual man has grace and mercy – he’s not above others, just beat up, scarred and obedient. Being born again manifests a genuine and obvious transformation in a person. Scripture: Gal 6:1-15, Matt 21:33-38
Wear Your Uniform
The things we say, think and do are directly related to how we see ourselves, who we identify with. Identifying with righteousness has a cost. The church is blending, not standing apart from the world as it becomes more difficult to stand for truth and what’s right. Our Christian “uniform” sets us apart and shows the world there are other choices. We…
Conformed or Transformed?
The church is running out of power because it’s left the Upper Room. The hour we’re in is similar to the hour Jesus walked the earth in. We have to choose if we’re going to go with the crowd or be transformed by the power of Christ.Scripture: Luke 3:1-3, Mark 8:34-36, Romans 12:1, 2 Cor 3:12-18
