Sermons on John (Page 3)
Certainty
The Bible starts with the voice of God and ends with the voice of God. It’s that voice and the written Word that gives us absolute certainty in the message of a never-failing God. Scripture: John 1:1-14, Rev 10:7, Rev 19:12-13, Matt 1:17, Num 33:1-2, Mark 1:1-3, Luke 1:1-4
Opposition
Principalities and powers are real. Just as Jesus opposed Satan, we’re to oppose him. This is not a time for the church to hide – but a time to stand. It seems as though immorality is the only choice today. It’s the mandate of the church to give the world another choice and to stand as defenders of morality.Scripture: Mark 6:24-33, John 9:11-23
What’s Your Reference Point?
How do we know we’re hearing the right thing from the Word of God? It depends on our reference point. Our reference point must be the truth. It must start and end with God. God’s voice, not our emotions; God’s will, not ours. Scripture: Luke 8:40-48, 2 Peter 2:4-9, 2 Kings 2:1-12, John 8:12-13, John 6:25-32
The Will To Do His Will
There are two spiritual kingdoms – the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. The desire to do His will is the ingrained evidence of God’s indwelling presence. The new man would want to do what pleases God. The old man cannot because it’s not under His dominion. If I want to do His will, He will lead me because I’m not in conflict with Him.
Protect Your Oil
The Devil wants to fight against the testimony of God in the real people of God, compromising the witness in a Man of God. Finding fault erodes a person’s ability to hear through the man God sends to bear witness of Him.
Truth Re the Trinity Doctrine
Pastor Ricley answers the question about what the Bible teaches about the Trinity Doctrine.
Under God’s Dominion
Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego and Daniel refused what the world had to offer them in the palaces of Babylon and remained under the dominion of God. We have things in our lives we need to set aside in consecration to God in order to experience the joy of right relationship with Him. Only one Kingdom will stand when it’s all said and done and we want to be on the side of…
Truth About Condemnation
If we sin, we feel condemnation. The fruit of the knowledge of good and evil makes us want to run and hide from God. In truth, condemnation was God-given to guide us – to repentance, to prayer, to comfort, to peace and to motivate us to get it right the next time. God has given us everything we need to empower us to walk uprightly before Him.
We’ve Got The Power
The church has forgotten that in the covenant is the Tree of Life. This tree isn’t for us because as believers we will never die. The Tree is for those around us who are dying in their sins. When we were washed in the blood, there was enough blood to cover all our sins for our entire life with some left over to give away. The church needs to return to fearing God, living…
Hold to the Light
In John 12 Jesus was prophesying about the things to come and the darkness that was going to descend when He was crucified. There was no way the people were going to understand His words in their carnal mind, but He was instructing them to hold on in faith to who they believed Him to be. If they believed He was the Messiah, that was all they needed and all that was ahead…
