Sermons from 2019 (Page 4)
Scandalized
Not one of us is immune from the voice of doubt. We must be ever vigilant over our thoughts & stay rooted in the truth of the Word rather than what it “feels” like.Scripture: Luke 7:11-24
Sons of God
There are those who believe that the Sons of God are angels. Pastor Ricley does an in-depth Bible Study establishing who the Sons are, their purpose and their relationship with God and the people around them. Scripture: Gen 1:26-2:24, 1 John 3:1-2, Rom 8:19-22
Conformed or Transformed?
The church is running out of power because it’s left the Upper Room. The hour we’re in is similar to the hour Jesus walked the earth in. We have to choose if we’re going to go with the crowd or be transformed by the power of Christ.Scripture: Luke 3:1-3, Mark 8:34-36, Romans 12:1, 2 Cor 3:12-18
Recognize The Value
Abraham undervalued Sarah and gave her away – twice! There could be no inheritance without Sarah. God gives us things to do and we allow the devil to sideline us or put obstacles in our paths because we underestimate the value of the ministry God has placed inside us. We need to stay with the truth and recognize the value of what God is teaching…
A Time of Preparation
God is doing things in our lives that are preparatory to motion. Our busyness & ordinary days take our thought process and we’re letting the things of God pass us by. Scripture: Matt 4:12-17, Exod 19:1-6, Matt 11:21-24
Certainty
The Bible starts with the voice of God and ends with the voice of God. It’s that voice and the written Word that gives us absolute certainty in the message of a never-failing God. Scripture: John 1:1-14, Rev 10:7, Rev 19:12-13, Matt 1:17, Num 33:1-2, Mark 1:1-3, Luke 1:1-4
Opposition
Principalities and powers are real. Just as Jesus opposed Satan, we’re to oppose him. This is not a time for the church to hide – but a time to stand. It seems as though immorality is the only choice today. It’s the mandate of the church to give the world another choice and to stand as defenders of morality.Scripture: Mark 6:24-33, John 9:11-23
God Gives, Religion Takes
The crux of every problem in the Bible was people believing lies. Sarah believed that every time Abraham looked at her he was disappointed in her, so she gave him her maid, the priests believed Jesus was after their kingdom – when He was their kingdom, Esau believed he would die and gave up his birthright. When religion give a solution, it appears to be spot on…
Chariot of Israel & The Horsemen Thereof
We all need a reference point if we’re going to get where we’re going. The life & example of Elijah was that reference point for Elisha and they traveled with the same mindset. Jesus was/is the reference point for His Disciples but our mindset isn’t the same. We need to increase our speed and join the chariot so we’re where we…
What’s Your Reference Point?
How do we know we’re hearing the right thing from the Word of God? It depends on our reference point. Our reference point must be the truth. It must start and end with God. God’s voice, not our emotions; God’s will, not ours. Scripture: Luke 8:40-48, 2 Peter 2:4-9, 2 Kings 2:1-12, John 8:12-13, John 6:25-32
